Serotype or known as serovar is type of bacteria or viruses that attact immune system. before we talk about serotype we will talk about immune system.

What is Immune system?

The immune system is capable of discerning a cell as being ‘self’ or ‘non-self’. In another word immune system is system in body to detect friend and enemy. Serotype determined by Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA). HLA is the human version of histocompatibility complex. Cells determined to be non-self are usually recognized by the immune system as foreign or enemy. Body will will response with immune, such as hemagglutination.
